Secondary Termination Switchgear
Power Design’s multi-connection pad mount switchgear & wall mount secondary termination are suitable for up to 600V. It is offered with either high-conductivity copper bus with current rating 1600A through 4300A , aluminum bus bar with a current rating 1300A through to 2900A, or 22 position aluminum set screw connectors with a 4,000A current rating for #2 – 750MCM conductor range. These current ratings for either cooper or aluminum bus bar option are based on all source cables on one side and all taps on the opposite side (S-T connection). Higher ratings up to 7,740A are available when all sources are in the center and all taps are at the end (T-S-T connection).
The pad mount secondary termination bus is on a free-standing welded aluminum steel frame which is enclosed in fiberglass pad mount enclosure with (2) lift-off doors and SS hardware, The bus bar has up to (17) NEMA two-hole per phase & neutral. Both 18” and 30” box pads are offered as an option. The wall mounted secondary termination is on a custom welded aluminum steel frame enclosed in a clear lexan case designed to be wall mounted Custom 600V termination switchgear is available.

- Fiberglass enclosure. (2) two hinged double doors with captive penta head bolts and padlocking provisions, and removable eyes for lifting enclosure and frame as one unit
- The 600V termination switchgear is housed in fiberglass outdoor, weatherproof enclosure (2) Lift-off single doors with captive penta head bolts and padlocking provisions and removable eyes for lifting enclosure and frame as one unit.
- Fiberglass laminate is 3/16″ nominal thickness except where local reinforcement is required.
- Enclosure exterior is gel-coated to .014-inch nominal thickness standard and is available in either munsell green, willow green, or light gray colors
- Stainless steel louvers shall be provided with stainless steel screen baffle for adequate air flow and heat dissipation as required for enclosed equipment.
